Trust

Transparency is a design constraint, not a campaign.

If AgriStock cannot say where the bags sit, what the unit is, and which licence we do not have, the site has failed — no matter how cinematic the rice field looks.

Inventory is someone else’s roof

Lots are listed against warehouses. The store is a counterparty with a location and a manager. AgriStock software records units and money. AgriStock does not become the warehouse by putting a pin on a map. Visit, ask, and read remaining quantity as an operations claim that still has to be true in the physical world.

Pending farmer listings exist because permissionless listing of food is how you get fiction. Admin approval is friction. Friction is the point.

Money movement

Paystack handles card and transfer rails we do not want to invent. Wallet ledgers in AgriStock must match webhook reality. If a deposit is pending, it is pending. We will not paint a green tick to make a demo nicer.

Personal data

Authentication uses JWTs with rotation in mind. Sensitive identity fields are intended to be encrypted at rest. Secrets stay in environment variables, not in git. That is engineering hygiene, not a marketing badge.

KYC without a vendor key is format-level. KYC with a vendor is a paid integration. Neither equals “government certified investor”.

Market data honesty

Listed agri quotes are only as good as the key and the licence behind them. Catalogue NGX names are not a scandal if we label them. They become a scandal if we dress them as Bloomberg.

Global agri names may print more often simply because the vendor covers them. That is coverage, not prestige.

Risk you must own

Binding terms, privacy, and compliance copy live in the app because that is where you click accept. This page is the human-language version for people who read before they register.
