That dual life is why people mash maize lots together with livestock feeds tickers. AgriStock will not. Grain in a store is one claim. A feeds company is another.
White and yellow, food and feed — offtakers pay different prices for different specs. A lot that refuses to say which it is will attract the wrong buyer and the wrong comparison on a dashboard.
Green maize in season is not dry grain in a bag. If the partner is selling a perishable form, the warehouse story has to change. Do not stretch a grain receipt metaphor over a cob.
When mash is expensive, birds get expensive, and maize lots get noisy. That is correlation in the real economy. It is not permission to treat a feeds listing on the tape as if you owned the bags.
If your thesis is “Nigeria will keep eating chicken”, you still choose an instrument: birds as a livestock lot, mash inputs as maize, or equity in a feeds name. Three instruments. One slogan is not a portfolio.
Weevils, moisture, stacking, and a roof that is not theatre — these decide whether remaining quantity is still true in month three. A map pin starts the conversation. A manager who answers continues it.
Diesel to move maize from producing areas to mills is an input. Soft launch will not give you a diesel index widget. You still have to know that transport exists.
